Lock down under Covid19 and associated risks

We might not be able to assist you physically right now but we are able to help you remotely. If you've identified a maintenance need whilst on your 400th lap of the garden since NZ's Covid19 lock down, these 3 questions will hopefully set you on your way to safely remedying the issue.

• Do I have the parts and tools to complete the job?
• What skills are needed to complete the job and do I possess them?
• Can I complete the job safely?

Our team are capable, experienced and trained to work safely. On the odd occasion, if we are not 100% sure that we are able to complete work safely and to standard, we will walk away from it. The vast majority of the time though, we'll knuckle down and come up with a solution.

Working with chemicals and at heights adds whole different dimensions to DIY environments and a poor judgement call can lead to death, long term disability and/or environmental damage. Please do not let fears over Covid19 reduce consideration in any way to the very real Health and Safety risks already present. Poor repairs can also compound existing maintenance issues and increase future repair costs.

Under NZ's Covid Level 4 restrictions, we're currently unable to attend general maintenance or cleaning work. This will ease under alert level 3 on Tues 28th April. Regardless of the timing, should you have be an immediate health and safety related need, we are able to attend to the work and will always priotise emergency or essential work.

We are unable to provide advice on the health and safety aspects of things other than to say that we would not recommend climbing a ladder or accessing a roof, unless fully trained, competent, confident and are using appropriate personal protective equipment.
